It was a glorified hotel and not truly a resort.

Liked:Proximity to beach. The service was good.

Disliked:No microwave, lobby was hot. We could not sit on our balcony. We had to go to the front desk to get ice because the ice machines were not working on the designated floors.

Liked:Location, close to beach, wahoo bar... but...

Disliked:We were charged an extra $500 that I had no idea about and still haven't been refunded; the ice machines weren't working and there were no vending machines even though there was a sign for them; there were slamming doors all night because the room doors were so hard to open and close; restaurant had no air conditioning; when I tried to order 2 drinks at the bar (one for me and one for my husband on the beach) they told me he had to come get it himself and show his ID.. and when we tried to find the people talking orders on the beach, they only stayed talking to people within a small distance of the lifeguard chair and didn't make their way to any side areas - when we tried to approach them they were talking orders from others but never got to us, and I even saw them taking second orders from the same group of people without checking other people first... many others around us were upset about the same thing. They should be going too all areas, not just one if you're going to offer that service. And they definitely need more doing it... one person talking orders and one running them.. on a whole beach full of people! I also had trouble using my $100 f&b credit. They said I had to use it one time only and forfeit the balance. So I had no choice but to eat at the restaurant to use the full credit amount... not too mention, last year we stayed there and had no hot water. We were supposed to get a major 40% discount on our next stay and the credit - I did not get that discount. Only the credit. The man I spoke to tried to tell me that I already got a better deal on booking. I'm sorry, but for the price I paid even if the room the $700 per night at that discount it would still be about $800 cheaper... for the price I paid those rooms would have had to have been over $900 a night, which they just aren't. I didn't appreciate that. We will not be back.

Disappointing stay

Liked:We always enjoy the location and convience to everything in OC.

Disliked:It was extremely crowded, with a great deal of renovation projects that negatively impacted customers visits. The internet was terrible and the cable TV was unwatchable. Two very valuable requirements of any hotel or resort. Without asking for room service it wasn't available. I would expect more from a minimum perspective and just was very disappointed when compared to our previous three visits.
