DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL

Liked:DO NOT ON ANY ACCOUNT BOOK THIS HOTEL. On arrival you will find it to be dilapidated and in appearance unlike the published photo. We refused to accept the accommodation because of clear breaches in fire regulations. Cornwall Fire Service has since inspected and require improvements to make the hotel compliant. The owning company is refusing to communicate to refund the booking and faces legal action. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Poor holiday accomadation

Liked:Avoid this soulless so called hotel breakfast poor small no fruit cereals you had to ask for teabags eggs bacon bread stairwells dirty stained we unfortunately prepaid for a week otherwise we would have departed on day two our room only serviced after asking repeatedly all 7 staff where male with no hotelier experience or manner ps the reason for no fruit or cereal given was the chef could not prepare them what a joke BASIL

Book the right room and you’ll have a pleasant experience

Liked:I was so worried about staying here based on previous reviews, we paid £100 more than the premier inn down the road for two nights because this hotel had a sea view balcony, it was definitely worth it if you value the sea view and being within easy walking distance to the centre of Newquay. The deluxe double sea view balcony room (14) is quite small but it’s clean and well maintained. Other reviewers said the balcony chairs needed painting, it was dirty and there were no toiletries in the bathroom, check in was awful and there was no restaurant . This wasn’t the case for us, staff were very welcoming, checked us into our room and took our suitcases upstairs and ensured we could use the door code. The balcony chairs were newly painted, soap and shower gel provided and the room was clean and equipped with tea and coffee facilities. Cleaners were present in the morning around the hot. There is a restaurant for breakfast and parking is reservable for a £10 per day charge if you call the hotel prior to arrival. We arrived back from a night out at midnight to find reception staff still present which made the hotel feel safe. The hotel decor is very quirky but the sea view makes up for it. Areas that could be improved… A small fridge in the room Replaced mattresses (not unbearable but not premier inn standard) A deep clean of the stairs carpet (light grey carpet in a hotel will show up the dirt)

Worst hotel

Liked:The room was dirty. The carpet had stains all over it. When I first arrived all you could smell at the reception was bo. The first picture is the bathroom tap. It was one of the worst hotel I’ve had the misfortune to stay in We wasn’t told you have to book a parking space. We paid £300 for two nights. We only stayed one because it was that bad. The room was so small it wasn’t big enough for two people to stay there.
