Liked:If you're looking for a great spot in New York City, I can’t recommend WestHouse Hotel enough. Everything about my stay exceeded expectations from the moment I arrived. The rooms are great clean and stylish, but still incredibly comfortable. You can tell they put a lot of thought into the small details to make the space feel warm and high-end without being over the top. What really makes this hotel stand out, though, is the staff. They are so welcoming and genuinely happy to help with anything. Their service is on another level, and they really go out of their way to make you feel like a guest they actually care about. The amenities are just as good. The terrace is a perfect place to unwind, and the breakfast was honestly delicious. Everything they serve is fresh and high-quality; it’s clear they actually care about the food. Location wise, you can't beat it. It’s right by Central Park and Times Square, so you have easy access to all the best restaurants, bars, and sights. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels in NYC, but WestHouse is a standout. You definitely get what you pay for here. I’ll absolutely be staying here again whenever I’m back in the city.

Westhouse was a wonderful new surprise

Liked:Westhouse was a great new surprise for me, as I travel to New York regularly. I found the staff most kind, knowledgeable, and personable. Sonya in the Terrace, was so genuinely helpful and kind, and made our stay extra-special with all her helpfulness. She gave some great recommendations for our day, and was most polite and sincere. We will be back at our first opportunity, because it felt so comfortable and convenient.

Extremely Disappointing Stay at the ScamHouse, In True Filth.

Liked:Worst hotel stay of my life at the ScamHouse hotel! I had a reservation booked through Airbnb from March 13-15th. After a long day of traveling, excited to finally reach my room and shower (which I was over an hour late for my check in for) I was greeted by a man with a ladder in my room. He was working on the smoke detector. He asked me to wait in the hallway until he finished, but after about 20 minutes he realized he did not have the right parts, so he’d be back in an hour. I told him I wanted to shower and relax and his response was he’d give me an hour and a half. After being rushed out the shower due to multiple rounds of knocks on my door, I was knocked on again. It took him another 30 minutes to attempt to fix the smoke detector while I sat there and waited. When he finally “fixed”, it and l thought I could have a moment of peace it began to loudly beep every 30-45 seconds. I thought it was taking some time to adjust and tried to ignore it. I began to organize my clothes (in their pitch black closets), and when I put my hand in the drawer, I physically touched two pairs of SOILED men’s and women's underwear. After sitting down for 10 minutes in a mental breakdown trying to figure out what diseases I could have possibly contracted, shrieking beeps over my head, I decided to talk to someone. After being directed to their guest relations, her response to this with video evidence was “ohh, can you airdrop me those videos? I can take off the residence fee for one night and move your room if you want” (be aware they charge residents fee after the booking). I don’t know how she thought being in the same uncleaned, soiled, alarm blaring room was a possibility. After being moved to a new room with soiled sheets, I finally realized I was chasing something I will never achieve (a truly clean room). I told myself I’m going to stick it out, I only have two nonrefundable nights here. I was not in the hotel my entire second day so it was physically impossible to have any issues there. On my final day I was awoken to housekeeping opening my door and shouting at 8:55AM. I understand they were fully booked for the marathon, but check out was before 12PM. There was no reason for me to be woken up that early with my door opening and slamming against the wall and the house cleaning staff attempting to get my attention through loud verbal shrieks. I have alarms and didn't request a wakeup call. Following that, the rest of my morning consisted of rounds of knocks for housekeeping while I tried to shower and clean the room, up until 11am. Overall, this was genuinely one of the worst hotel experiences of my life and I travel often and to many developing countries. I was going to take my losses and accept that my NYC trip was horrible, but during check out I was told I had incurred a smoking fee, when I did not smoke in the room at all. I spent $550 on two nights in filth and am now being told it will be an extra $500+ for this smoking incident, when I had literally reported that this alarm was going off as soon as he “fixed” it. I don’t know what's going on with their smoke detectors, but clearly there are issues with them since they have someone spending hours attempting to repair them during the time of my hotel stay. I can gather that they’re not functioning properly. I was passed around from “manager” to “manager”, who none of which were powerful enough to speak to directly regarding the smoking fee. They could only remove the residents fee. I was given a false email that has given me multiple failed to deliver responses, and from their AI responses on here that they fail to erase from, you can tell they couldn’t care less.
