Perfect small and comfy hotel

Liked:Excellent staff who helped me with something. Very clean and comfortable hotel. Well situated in Chinatown.

Disliked:The room was very small. No body soap in the shower.

Good value hotel except for Anwar the hotel is better than the impression the front desk gives

Liked:Well, the reception is pretty basic, but it’s good that there is still a real person there all the time. Some hotels don’t even have a person there. The rooms are a good size and really is everything one needs, especially those who’ll be out all day.

Disliked:Nothing except for this one receptionist, Anwar. He was very hostile. Check in is ar 3pm, I arrived before 2pm. He said it was $50 for early check in, which is fine if the hotel declares they charge for early check-in. But I didn’t need to, so I said no thanks, I’ll leave my bags instead. He wouldn’t let me leave the bags bec the room is ready. The bag “storage” is literally just the space beside reception. I said thats not my fault that the room is ready, but I should be able to leave my bags. He wouldn’t accept it, said that was policy and said I could wait in the one couch they had until check in. Later I find out that was not the policy at all. He also told my colleague that baggage can only be stored until 4pm or it’s a $10 charge. When actually, the policy was until 7pm. I don’t understand why Anwar would invent his own policies. Heard that they’ve had a lot of complaints about him, seriously. Other than that, it’s a good value hotel. The other front desk guy, Jerry, was absolutely great.

I think I’ve found my new hotel for my business trips to NYC! The Leon felt cozy,clean and comfortable.Staff was great a

Liked:Upon arrival,Jerry the front desk concierge, made my check in easy! I was in my room fast.Jerry offered advice on parking and helped with luggage cart unloading my car!! My room was amazing with a gorgeous view of the Manhatten bridge! My room was so quiet and very clean! and I joined the local community Tai Chi group in the park on Chrystie st every morning at 7:00 am.Food in Chinatown was incredible too!
