More to be desired

Liked:Stayed here recently after seeing the high ratings. The location on Lexington is excellent. But the experience didn't match what I was expecting. I checked in late at night and there was very little in the way of a welcome or greeting — felt transactional. No water bottles in the room, which is pretty standard at this tier. The room itself felt a bit run down — carpet and decor showing their age. Other reviews mention a 2019 renovation but it wasn't obvious from what I saw. Not a bad hotel. But given the ratings, I expected more.

Great hotel and location when visiting NYC!

Liked:My wife and I recently stayed at the Fitzpatrick Manhattan for 3 nights. As it was a special anniversary, we were treated to a nice upgrade to a suite and a "Congratulations" bottle of Champagne and fruit. This hotel always delivers with a friendly staff, cleanliness and excellent housekeeping. So convenient to everything without being in the center of the Times Square crowds. As repeat guests, we will definitely be back on our next trip to the city!
