Not worth the price, not well managed.

Liked:Location.

Disliked:Definitely not worth the price. When we got in the a/c in the room was off, so the inside temperature was 89 F; not great after a 4 hours drive and a very hot day. We turn on the a/c above the bed and after a while condensation water starts dripping on the bed. So the choice at night was either a damp bed or a hot room given that the window a/c unit was very loud. We contacted the staff via Booking but didn’t reply until after checkout, so not very useful. Additionally, the bathroom door was very loud when closing, and you could hear the people upstairs whenever they walked, so we didn’t get any good sleep. Definitely not a good stay at all. It’s just an old house.

Great experience, highly recommended

Liked:Beautiful manor house converted into a hotel, with a good lobby bar in an exceptional setting. This is a self-stay property which worked really well and is very convenient - feels more like a BnB than a hotel. The room was clean, spacious, comfortable and oozed with charm - just like the rest of the property. Wifi is excellent, and parking was convenient. Great location, close to the lake with easy access to town.

Disliked:Beware that there is no elevator so request a lower floor as needed.
