Terrible front desk.

Liked:If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Front desk was on a whole other level. I’ve stayed here on business a few times with the same issue I always seem to have with front desk giving me a hard time at check in. This time Marissa was consistently giving me a run around with her attitude out of place while the other employee just stood there letting it happen giving no care being so unprofessional. This passive rude aggression attitude made me tell my boss not to send me here under any circumstances. When asked to speak with management, all she could say was managing here at the moment and wouldn’t bother to check giving me times to call when SHE would be there! This type of behavior should not be allowed towards paying customers and I will not return or recommend my crew. The rooms are nasty, old, and smells of sulfur & marijuana. Save your money and stay somewhere nicer like a motel.

Never again

Liked:This hotel looks way better online than it is in person. They have made an effort to upgrade the property. The furniture looks new, bathrooms look newer however the mattresses are terrible. The paint color is darkish yellow making the room feel like you’re inside of smokers paradise. The carpet is brown, and hard to tell if it’s clean. The third room we got was finally acceptable however it still had a food smell. The first two rooms were disgusting. The first room smelled like mildew or mold and the second room had a very strong food odor, overwhelming! My daughter immediately said oh my gosh mom it stinks in here. Something bit me while I tried to sleep, still itching a week later. We would never stay here again. I should’ve taken a hint from the security guard posted inside the front door (that was a bit difficult to locate). I immediately wondered if we were in a safe place and then laid awake most of the night evaluating my choice. Had it not been after 8 PM when we arrived we would’ve definitely looked for another location to stay.

Bed Bugs!

Liked:Unfortunately, we discovered bed bugs in our room, on our bed, after we had slept in the bed one night. Front desk personnel were very friendly! But management did not reach out as we had been promised. When we followed up with management in person, they agreed to refund one night of our stay only. But they have not been responsive to our 3rd party booker's efforts to reach them to authorize the refund. So issue is still unresolved. Aside from the bed bugs, there were a few additional issues with cleanliness (e.g. a blood-like stain on the locking mechanism on the door, a plastic slinky and other detritus in the pullout couch etc.) and functionality (e.g. the shower did not drain correctly, and the drain mechanism came detached; loud Imaginarium next door played blaring music into the night every night). Would NOT recommend.

Utterly Depressing

Liked:Three stars for a quiet room and hallway. That’s about it. The windowless corridors were like something out of a horror movie. Or the beginning of Pink Floyd’s The Wall movie. The room itself was pure 90s with brown granite, stainless steel kitchen sink and tattered window shears. Utterly depressing and one night was enough. Walk to Bart station takes 10 minutes.
