Awesome hotel located in middle of everything

Liked:Very responsive, friendly and extremely quiet and restful. In middle of everything which made this hotel amazing. My shower had a leak that squirted on the light in shower. Notified front desk was fixed immediately. I stayed 9 nights and I had the most amazing housekeeper who made my room spotless everyday. The 2 days she was off the rooms trash was taken out and bed made. Counters dirty and no water and turned off ac and left tv on. It was so loud it scared me. Other this place was fantastic and I highly recommend. One bad employee is a good thing. I would definitely stay here again

Handy location for historical center!

Liked:Stayed here for nearly two weeks as a couple. Staff are friendly & helpful. They even prepared a "takeaway" breakfast for us upon request - as we had two days when we had very early departures for tours. The breakfast buffet is pretty standard hotel fare. Tasty & available. The location is extremely convenient. We were barely a few minutes walk from all the excitement of the Three Kings festival/celebrations (Mexico's semi equivalence to Xmas) so we went exploring the fair around the monument too. The Bellas Artes is probably a 15min walk away, most of it running alongside the Alameda Central park. The Zocalo (main square) is probably closer to a 20-30min walk but we still did it multiple times. The room was clean & tidy & comfortable. It took us a while to remember that you're not supporting to flush toilet paper in most places in Mexico really... (Pipe sizes are different than a lot of places so use the dustbin. Soaps & shampoo are all available in refill bottles in the showers. Rooms are cleaned (& beds made) daily and they always left a small bottle of water per person every day. Handy for brushing our teeth! There are a couple of Oxxo shops (one just across the road) if you need snacks & water bottles too. And they had a luggage storage room where we left our bags on the day we checked out (but our flight wasn't until the evening). A couple of handy "lavanderias" (laundrettes) nearby too if you're there for a longer trip and need fresh clothes without breaking the bank. Overall we had such a great stay we forgot to even TRY the swimming pool lol..

Spend your money somewhere else. This place is not worthy.

Liked:Everything started with the check-in, our room was not ready, we understood that and they held the baggage for us. We left to do an excursion, we came back really late at night, got elevator walked to our room that was a presidential room, the key didn't work, have to go down to get a new one, then wanted to get in shower and no hot water, they didn't have anyone to fix it, so have to take a cat shower because the water was so cold, the next day same thing no hot water, called and they sent someone to fix it. The Tvs are not smart so there is not netflix, so if you don't speak Spanish sorry that's all the channels they got. The refrigerator doesn't work , they said they were removing all of them from the rooms, not idea why but that's what they said, then we decided to get in the jacuzzi, turn in the water and dark orange/brown water came out, got to open the drainage which is damage and you must use a knife or something to get it out, let water run out for a while because that rust can hurt your skin, by the time the water is to the right level there is not more hot water, so the water is warm no hot, means you need to get out quick, unless you enjoy cold showers. Since the drainage handle didn't work it was so hard to see the bottom for all the bubbles and I decided to let it stay like that until the bubbles were gone to be able to release the water, it was probably 3 hits when I went to the bathroom and it was water everywhere, not idea how it got out, but the floor was so wet and cold that I need to dry with towels, the shower when you turn on the water smells so bad like pee, so if you stay there take shower sandals before you get an infection, and to finished we paid all inclusive, we went to breakfast and since I have a small procedure with all the medication, that i need to put in the refrigerator (which we have one but not working) I don't feel that hungry so I didn't eat much breakfast but I decided to get a yogurt to take with me and a waiter stopped me and said it loud that ppl turned the head thinking( there is a theft) you can't take that we you, you must pay that, I was OK. So I left it in the place and went to talk to the manager of the hotel, he said sorry but you have to consume your breakfast in the restaurant, but yet he told me I could order to my room and I can order from the pool area.. doesn't make sense to me that I can have anything in 2 areas, but I couldn't take it from the restaurant. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else that appreciates your money.
