Flat tire; no problem! Thanks Westin!

Liked:My family including our toddler came to the Westin Monache for a week vacation. The hotel is well situated in the village and clean, rooms very spacious and comfortable, and the amenities (pool, restaurant) quite good. Unfortunately, the rest of my family got sick and we had to cut our trip short. As we were pulling out of the driveway to head home, we discovered a flat tire. Tanner, one of the bellmen, was incredibly gracious and helped us unload our car and change the tire for a spare, while Willow, one of the concierges, called around the area to a number of mechanics and located the only one open and available (in Bishop 45 min away) to change the tires. Plus, because we left early, the Westin did not charge us for additional nights. Tanner, Willow, and the entire Westin Monache team were so helpful during a particularly stressful time, and we made it home safely the next day. While we were sad to cut our time short we will absolutely return to Mammoth in the near future and stay at the Westin.

This place is amazing!

Liked:This hotel is amazing. The area is stunning and there is lots to do here. The scenery at this hotel is perfect. The pool was fantastic and the rooms were brilliant.

Disliked:There isn't anything we didn't like about thios place, absolutely stunning.

Wonderful Welcoming at Westin Monache

Liked:Brian (Front Desk) and Kasey (Concierge) provided the best welcoming experience I have ever had at any hotel I have stayed in anywhere around the world. We felt that both Brian and Kasey truly made us feel very special and they both should be recognized as being truly exemplary for what they do. A very special thank you both. We will definitely be returning to this wonderful hotel.

Top notch experience

Liked:As a Marriott Ambassador Elite member, I expect exemplary service at each Marriott property. This was no exception. Willow, the conceirge indivdual, provided professional and informative service. I was routinely asking her for places to go and what to do and she did not disappoint. She is truly a remarkable person. The hotel is under slight construction in the front but not too bad for the guests. Currently, there isn't a lounge or a kitchen. But there is room service. IDK. The rooms were good size and the views are remarkable. I stayed in the 1 bedroom Mammoth Suite. I would highly recommend that on the highest floor possible--there are 7 floors. I will come back. The room pictured is room 723.

Highway 120 (Tioga Pass) typically closes from late October until July. When the Tioga Road is closed, it is not possible to drive to Tuolumne Meadows or enter Yosemite National Park from the east. All other park entrances, including those along Highway 120 from the west, Hetch Hetchy, Highway 140, and Highway 41, remain open all year.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. In the event of an early departure, the property will charge you the full amount for your stay.
