I would recommend this property to people who do not intend on spending the most amount of time at their lodging. People

Liked:The location overall is decent. The beach is not crowded and there are several good local restaurants nearby. It is relatively cheap.

Disliked:My very first thought upon entering the property, and my room, was that the pictures on the listing were in fact a few years old. There are signs of wear and tear, but there does not appear to be a significant effort being made to fix these marks. E. g. the nightstand in my room was dirty and damaged. The shower had low pressure, and there was only one water temperature, too hot. The pool area looked uninviting. The resort could use a a fresh set of paint and some general touch up. The overall cleanliness was not to our liking either. Shelves were full of dust, and it was apparent it had been some time since the last thorough cleaning of our room. The staff was friendly and kind. Yet the service was not exactly impeccable. The towel service was a mess. Some days we had only beach towels, some days we had no towels. After notifying the reception about this issue it was still not fixed six hours later (08:00 am - 02:00 pm). We had to get the towels ourselves. We ordered high speed internet for our booking, but it was the most unreliable internet I have had so far this vacation. The neighbors were burning garbage in their gardens, every single day. The Florist is not to blame for this, but beware the fact that there is a foul stench every afternoon. (It is a common occurrence throughout the island.)

Disliked:Our stay at The Florist Resort was very disappointing, not because the hotel is old, but because the photos and description on Booking.com and Google Maps are seriously misleading. The images show clean, renovated rooms, a pleasant beachfront area and well maintained facilities. Unfortunately, that is not what we found. The hotel appears not to have been renovated for many years and feels neglected throughout. The room was poorly maintained. The curtains were stained, the towels had black marks, there was mould in the shower, the safe did not work, and the overall cleanliness was far below what we expected. The beachfront terrace shown in the photos looks inviting online, but in reality it is filled with old, dirty and broken furniture. The sunbeds have torn upholstery and look abandoned. It feels more like a very cheap two star motel than the beachfront resort advertised. The biggest concern was security. Our room door would not close properly and had to be secured with an old padlock. Even worse, when the door was "closed" there was still a gap of about a finger's width, allowing people outside to see directly into the room. This is completely unacceptable for any hotel. We have attached photos because we believe future guests deserve to see the current condition of the property. Had the listing accurately represented the hotel, we simply would have chosen a different place. We are not giving this low rating because the hotel is old, we are giving it because the advertising is misleading and does not honestly reflect what guests will actually find. Honest photos and an accurate description would allow guests to make an informed decision. Unfortunately, that was not the case here.
