A great stay

Liked:We checked in to the W late at night, but received great service. Thanks also to Brewer at the front desk who was especially good to us. We appreciated the rooms, the beds, the beautiful bathrooms, the valet service. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Top-notch location and staff

Liked:I am giving our favorite Westwood hotel, the W on Hilgard, five stars for the location, and for the people. We have frequented this property for nearly a decade. Its proximity to UCLA is unmatched, and we have come to know some of the valet, front desk, and wait staff by name. Special shoutouts to Edgar and Lin up front, and Jill on the pool deck. Edgar and Lin always take good care of us, and Jill is a lovely person who works hard to keep everyone out by the pool happy. The only negative during this stay was a failure to manage the crowd at breakfast, and this was no fault of the employees. Joseph P. was hustling! They must be short-staffed, as the servers were slammed, doing their own bussing, table setting, greeting, and serving. Too much. But the coffee and food was excellent. Prices at the hotel are high across the board, but that’s LA for you… and again - can’t beat the location btwn Beverly Hills and Santa Monica. Supply and demand!

Perfect Location for visiting UCLA

Liked:Everyone was welcoming, accomodating and helpful There is perhaps room for improvement in the F&B department, however the service received from staff was good. Room was clean and spacious. Nice Gym. Upon request they will send up a coffee maker to your room.. Laundry service was good Thank you

Disliked:Restaurant menu is very limited, breakfast is just ok. Feel corridors need more light and soundproofing needs to improve.
