Important Information

Please note that guests under 18 years old are not allowed in CLUB ROOMS for health and safety reasons. At check-in debit or credit card will be pre-authorized with GBP 50 to cover any possible incidentals. The pre-authorization will hold the funds until check-out, at which time the amount actually incurred during the stay will be charged. Pre-authorized amounts may take up to 14 days after departure to be released by the bank or financial institution and the hotel will not be responsible for any resulting fees or charges. Please note that for advance purchase bookings, the cardholder has to be present upon check-in. Due to the limited number of extra beds available, guests are kindly asked to contact the hotel directly if an extra bed is needed. This will incur a charge of £30 per night. Hotel lovely reception staff lovely restaurant was slow.

Liked:The design.
Disliked:If the restaurant is part of the hotel. It was incredibly slow. I went down to order and paid to have it delivered to my room. They told me 10-15 minutes. It’s was 45 minutes !! I had to go down to collect it myself. This lateness meant I could not eat it all as I had to sleep. So it was wasted. It is in a fairly noisy area very early in the morning. I may have just been unfortunate that refuse was being collected.

Good location but a lot of room for improvement with regards to breakfast, service and cleanliness

Liked:The front desk person when we came in was friendly and informative. The foyer area was very well presented and the bed was comfortable and a good location for the 02
Disliked:The breakfast was very disappointing - the allergens we had didn't seem to have been taken on board much. One of us is gluten intolerant, but was told about vegan options instead. After gluten intolerence was clarified, the staff member didn't ask what we'd like but just brought us out food that we didn't necessarily want - communication here would have improved the experience, as if they'd told us what they could offer and ask us what we wanted, we could have saved food waste. New plates were brought out in front of us but the top one was dirty and the staff member just laughed and brushed the dirt off before putting them down, which made us unsure of the cleanliness. There were stains on the carpet, the lights were hard to work out. We needed instructions on how to work them but these weren't provided. The air conditioning was filthy and there were no instructions for how to work the shower, which was also confusing. There was a large crack in the window. The lift situation was not explained before we arrived (the main lift only went up to level 2, and a slower, hydrolic lift then took you up to level 3) and there was no signage on where the stairs were, so if you wanted to just go up the first lift, it didn't seem possible to then take the stairs up to level 3. It seemed you either had to do all stairs one way, or all lift one way. The person on the front desk when we left, didn't seem that bothered when we left. We also weren't told beforehand we would need to put down a £50 safety deposit, which I still have not received back 6 days later.
