location great but not very clean

Liked:location was fantastic and the staff was really nice
Disliked:They only clean the the rooms every four days. Unfortunately the rooms weren’t very clean to begin with, stains on the doors, in the shower, window frames and on the bathroom floor. The shower curtain was too short so the bathroom flooded every time you took a shower. Also the elevators are not enough for the hotel. In the morning we waited a good 25 minutes to get down from the 9th floor.

Diamond turns to coal

Liked:This hotel was a gem and has been totally ruined since its recent takeover- stayed here over 30 times in 10 years but sadly not be going back.
Disliked:No drinks faculty in room any longer. One towel in the bathroom for a family of three. Everything is chargeable and no personal touch - full of touch pads and no staff.

Dissapointing

Liked:The hotel was in a good location. Staff were friendly and helpful and the bar area was nice. Check in and check out system was quick and easy.
Disliked:The room was very dated and not what expected. There were patches of mold in the room and the bath was rusty. The bed wasn’t comfortable and the pillows and duvet were very thin. The window had a blind but didn’t block out the light very well, the room could have done with some curtains. There was some maintenance being done whilst we stayed there which woke us up every morning. I was also shocked to find out we had to pay to leave our bags in reception on check out day, I have never experienced this at a hotel before. We stayed for 3 nights and the room wasn’t cleaned once. We had to request clean towels and more toilet roll at reception.

Not the best stay but not the fault of the hotel staff.

Liked:Conveniently located
Disliked:Not the hotel’s fault but other guests were noisily walking up and down the hallway and talking on phone during the night, the fire alarm was set off a couple of times. The heating was an electric heater which I couldn’t get the hang of and was v noisy so I ended up without. The disabled lift has to be operated bysomeone else so isn’t fully accessible and I had to wait for staff or guests to help me get up or down in the foyer.
