Dirty apartment and not safe due to fact that windows can be open from outside

Disliked:It might be hard to write everything about this apartment. But let's start. The entrance to the building and the staircase were in a catastrophic state, filled with some strange smell. The apartment was very dirty. The kitchen work table was dirty, floors, bedroom doors were dirty, the bathtub and around it were dirty, the toilet was dirty. The windows were dirty. One window in the bedroom couldn't be closed at all. While we were in the apartment it was constantly open and I couldn't close it. In the evening, when we were showering (and there were 5 of us in total) the heating radiators in the living room and one bedroom were on. I couldn’t turn them off or lower them. And it was summer and warm. So from the start of showering until late at night we had heating in the living room and bedroom. We arrived at the apartment late on Thursday (flight delay) and on Friday we decided to sleep in and rest a bit. On Friday morning before 9 am, my wife and I were woken up by the opening of the window from outside and talking. And then you can imagine the fear that took over us. These were workers doing window painting from outside. No one told us about it, nor did we receive any notice. After I contacted the owners, they only then told me about that. After that, they continued scraping the windows. We couldn't bear to listen, so we left the apartment fearing that they could enter our place without any problem and do who knows what. It was the same on Monday morning. I’ve never experienced anything like that in my life. No notifications from the owner about the work. Terrible. Since our days were filled with booked tours and visits, we neither wanted nor had time to change apartments, but the whole time we didn’t feel safe.
