Really friendly staff, spacious room, excellent location - Recommend for a West-End Weekend

Liked:All the staff were friendly and helpful. Very spacious room and close to all the sights we wanted to see. Bed was comfortable and there were sufficient towels and toiletries for our 2 night stay. The fans were much appreciated given London is a very hot & sticky city at the moment! The continental breakfast served in the sister hotel next door was sufficient but paying the extra £5 was worth it for the full English which was freshly cooked.

Disliked:As the room is advertised with a kitchenette to bring it from a 3 star to a 4 star rating it would need a larger fridge, a tea towel and cleaning items such as washing up liquid (same size as the toiletries would be fine!) and a washing cloth... but we could have brought our own I guess LOL! A plug and a lamp by the single bed would be a good addition and don't forget to let the Clarendon know when guests have booked a breakfast (we were not on the list and had an awkward wait on the first morning!). Appreciate the age of the building which added to its charms as London hotel but a quick check of the rooms and a lick of paint to touch up the scuffs and dents would make it feel more 4 star, especially as you have to go next door for breakfast.

Liked:Lovely spot, comfy and quiet room with small fridge kettle etc.

Disliked:There was no air con in room and it was 34 degrees outside. The fan was just not sufficient and too noisy to keep on all night.

Liked:Great location, classic design and furnishings, spacious and comfortable; just what we needed for a busy weekend in London

Disliked:I work online so the wifi was insufficient for my meetings; however, it was fine for other general activities

Liked:Brilliant location. Walking distance to underground and attractions. Large room with very comfortable beds. The addition of the kitchenette was great. Very clean.

Disliked:Room shows signs of wear (some stains and tares on the wallpaper). A handle next to the bath/shower would be needed for anyone with slight mobility issues as its quite a rise.
