First days of summer in Ljubljana

Liked:The hotel was very well located. The room was big and quiet. The bed was comfortable. Thedor who worked at the cafe on the ground floor next to reception was fantastic. Breakfast was very good. The food at the cafe was also very good.

Disliked:The hotel felt understaffed or staffed with untrained persons. Theodor at the cafe was very good but he was often on his own to man both tables and the bar and sometimes there was a wait to be served though not Theodor's fault. There was a person at breakfast who would take your plate and then say "May I clear your plate?" which defeats the purpose of asking. We called room service for some milk one morning because no milk was provided in the room and none was sent up. I rang a second time 40mins later and it was confirmed that milk was on its way up but none came. When I called the following day for milk, I was then told it was chargeable which I said was fine but again none was delivered. When room service cleaned the room, they didn't empty the bin one time. We sent laundry out on one day and it was supposed to be returned by 6pm the following day. When the laundry hadn't returned the following day by 10pm, we rang reception who said "they would check" but didn't advise what time or when they would send it before hanging up and I had to call back to find out whether the checking was happening soon or the followong day. We paid for the room in advance but at check out the bill had the room charge on or as well as some items that were not ours and it took the reception desk 3 attempts to get the bill right. Overall the staffing wasn't the greatest and the experience would have been better had there been more staff or more trained staff.

Great location very big rooms

Liked:Very good location,spacious rooms,excellent breakfast. The reception was with very helpful and smiling staff. Walking distances from main attractions and center

Disliked:I had to ask almost daily for cleaning as was never cleaned properly my room

Convenient City Centre Hotel

Liked:A good, comfortable stay in a great location. The hotel is well located within easy walking distance of the main sights, restaurants and riverside area, making it a great base for exploring Ljubljana. As expected from a chain hotel, everything was clean, efficient and comfortable. We felt it offered good value for money and had everything we needed for our stay. Overall, a pleasant stay in a convenient city-centre location and a good choice for a short break in Ljubljana.

Disliked:The only disappointment was the shower, which lacked power and wasn't quite up to the standard of the rest of the hotel.
