Idyllic

Liked:The villa was exceptional, the island was immaculate, the staff were very personable and the facilities were top class. The shuttle system was great when needed, good choice of restaurants and the resort was pristine and maintained daily

Disliked:There could/should be more options for between meal snacks such as a coffee shop or convenience store to buy some snacks etc.

Liked:We had an absolutely amazing time at Jawakara Resort in the Maldives! My boyfriend and I have stayed at several resorts in the Maldives, and Jawakara definitely stands out as one of our favorites. The resort itself is beautiful, with a gorgeous design, incredibly clean beaches, and very comfortable villas. Our villa was spotless, beautifully designed, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The beach bars, nightlife, and overall atmosphere were also fantastic, so there was always something enjoyable to do. One of the biggest highlights for us was the food. Having visited other resorts in the Maldives, I can honestly say that Jawakara had the best food we have experienced so far. There was an amazing variety of choices, and as a pescetarian, I found it extremely easy to find plenty of delicious things to eat. The selection was excellent and there was always something different to enjoy. The staff were another huge highlight. Everyone we met, from the chefs and cooks to our personal assistant, was incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming. Their service really made our stay special. Another thing I really appreciated was how well the resort managed mosquitoes. They spray twice a day, and during our stay we barely noticed any mosquitoes at all. For a tropical island resort, this makes a huge difference and is something worth mentioning.

Disliked:There are a couple of things that could be improved. I would love to see more sunbeds placed directly on some of the beaches rather than having them mainly around the beach bars. Some of the quieter beaches are absolutely beautiful, and it would be wonderful to be able to relax there comfortably. The bicycles could also use an upgrade. Unfortunately, I had two bicycles break during our stay, and in general they were quite old and not particularly comfortable to ride. Replacing them with newer, better-maintained bikes would definitely improve the experience, especially since cycling around the island is such a nice way to explore the resort. One thing to keep in mind is the snorkeling. If snorkeling is your main reason for visiting the Maldives and you are specifically looking to see lots of fish, sharks, and marine life, Jawakara may not be the ideal choice. There are other areas and resorts in the Maldives with much better snorkeling. However, if snorkeling isn’t your main priority, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jawakara. Overall, we had an absolute blast and would happily come back. From the beautiful design and pristine beaches to the fantastic food, wonderful staff, comfortable villas, beach bars, and nightlife, Jawakara gave us a fantastic holiday. For us, it was one of the best resort experiences we’ve had in the Maldives, and we would definitely recommend it!

This rate is not included in the booking price and will be charged additionally.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance.
