Location: the best, Hotel: not so much.

Liked:The location is probably the best you can get in Lake Placid. Walkable to many restaurants and shops, close to the lake. The room is also of a decent size, the bathroom looks pretty new/renovated.

Disliked:Don't book "top floor" as you won't get it, so don't waste your money to pay extra for this room type. I got 4th floor (which is in reality the 2nd floor, out of 4 floors for the hotel rooms). It's a bit noisy, you can hear people walking out of bars at night. Common areas: the rooftop is only open when the hotel wants it to be and it's mostly weather permitting, starting at 2-3pm. I wanted to go there to relax, enjoy the view, read a book but not, it's in fact a bar, open to anyone (not just hotel guests).
