Liked:It’s like this place was made for me. A bookstore/library in the lobby and short films played every night. Love it! Also the bedroom and shower were very good and clean.

Disliked:Beware of the entrance way has low head clearance. I hit my head several times despite it having the “watch your head” signs.

Amazing and would definitely come back again!

Liked:There are so many great aspects about Tune Stay! Firstly, the location was central, easy to find, and in close proximity to many amenities (i.e. konbinis). The fact that it was also quiet was a plus, as normally that doesn't occur with centrally-located accommodations. Secondly, there were so many amenities available that went beyond expectations, such as cold water in the lobby and books for sale in the common lounge area (which was very aesthetic and showed movies every night). Thirdly, everything was very clean and comfortable. It's clear that the staff take good care of the place, and they are so friendly too! My friend and I enjoyed our stay so much that we would very much like to return. In my case, I can confidently say that this is the most upscale hostel I've ever experienced and was amazing value all around - I had a wonderful stay!

Disliked:Nothing really as everything was great! One thing to note for those who are not used to the sizes of rooms in Japan is that they are tight, but given that my friend and I expected this it was no problem for us. If you keep this in mind, you will hopefully find it just as wonderful a stay as we did!

Fantastic place to stay for a Kyoto trip

Liked:- Fantastic location close to the train station, bus stops, Family Mart, a Donki, and many restaurants (including a delicious ayce yakiniku place) - Close to the action but far enough that it’s quiet at night - Nice and modern hotel, with amenities like laundry room and open kitchen in the basement if you want to cook - Free drinks if you opt out of room cleaning - Very friendly staff
