Beautiful hotel in great location but noisy at night

Liked:Best location in the heart of town, 2 min walk from Gion and Pontocho Alley, Nishiki market 5 min, really clean, staff very nice. Beautiful hotel.

Disliked:For 5 star hotel having no door man or anyone to help with bags was a bit funny. But my main issue was the noise from the main road. Even though we didn’t face the road at night time you could hear the the cars driving past and even the pedestrian crossing blind sound aid. Ask for inner courtyard view room and you’ll be fine! They gave me ear plugs when I asked and offered another room but I deemed the noise was same. Windows are not double glazed unfortunately

Their hospitality made me feel valued as a guest, and they went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. One of the things that stood out the most was the incredible cleanliness of the hotel. The rooms were spotless, well-maintained, and thoughtfully prepared. It was clear that the housekeeping team takes great pride in their work, as every area—from the lobby to the guest rooms—was consistently clean and fresh. The level of service throughout my stay was truly outstanding. Any request I had was handled promptly and with a positive attitude. It’s rare to find a hotel that combines such excellent customer service with such high standards of cleanliness. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, welcoming, and impeccably maintained place to stay. I look forward to returning in the future!
