Liked:Reception and staff were respectful, kind, and caring. probably the first and only staff I have seen so far that are so kind and welcoming. They helped with everything, including luggage transfer to the room, as well as giving the taxi instructions to drop us off at a convenient location. Cleaning was absolutely spot on. The hotel was an absolute blast. Bed was comfortable, room was spacious enough for Japan, shower pressure and temperature were outstanding. In the room there was a mini fridge, kettle, ice bucket, cups, coffee and tea, along with a safe and a small wardrobe. Breakfast was very good. Selection was small and it was a mix between Japanese food and western-style breakfast but it was variable. Tea was delicious. You might not like everything that is offered but they will usually have enough to meet everyone’s likes. Vouchers were a nice touch. Did not use the public bath. location was very good and only a few minutes walk from the subway station, but again, not “close” to something specific. This was not an inconvenience or a dislike, the choice was on purpose. However, some people might find this unattractive.

Disliked:Nothing. However, some “inconveniences” that will not affect my future choice of staying there again: There was an echo in the room given how the sliding window covers were made. Coffee at the reception (nespresso, self-make, coffee machine) was meh.

Wonderful find in a cozy corner of kyoto!

Liked:Wonderful location and atmosphere. From the breakfast, to free coffee to the interior design, everything was well thought out and premium. The nicest place we stayed in in Japan

Disliked:Only gripe was the lack of any closet space
