Good corporate hotel, great location for station and as a base for sightseeing. Good value

Liked:Rather a lot of goods in my title but it is a good central hotel. Easy check in, rooms typically Jaoanese tight, but all you want. Coffee wishy washy but free so thanks for that. Love the cut through to 7/11 which became our favourite beer stop. Only downside the air-conditioning. We tried to make it cooler, but computer or rather hotel central systems "said no". But apart from that a great base to see the amazing tourist attractions of Kyoto. Go and you can't fail to be pretty pleased with your select if you're on a budget of circa £70 a night.

Good stay near Kyoto Station

Liked:While the location is a little far from Kyoto's main sights, I chose this hotel as a base for day trips to the surrounding region. For that reason, the location right by Kyoto Station was perfect for me. The service was friendly, the hotel clean and modern, and the room large by Japanese standards. There was also a 7-Eleven right downstairs, which was convenient. The laundry facilities were a bonus, but I found that the dryer left clothes a bit damp. Overall, a good stay. However, if you plan on exploring Kyoto itself, somewhere further north would be better.

Convient location near Kyoto station

Liked:Very near to Kyoto station. Cross the road from Kyoto station and you will see Ibis hotel. Continue walking straight and past 7 eleven. Turn left and you will find Via Inn hotel. Self check in at the lobby but there will be people assisting if you are not familiar. Room is considered big and bathroom is huge. Bed is comfortable.
