An excellent base to explore Kyoto, Osaka and the surrounding region from.

Liked:We really enjoyed our stay and found APA Hotel Kyoto Ekikita to be a perfect location to explore Kyoto from. Kyoto Station is only a couple of minutes walk from the hotel, from which you can easily explore the city by train or bus. This also grants easy access to nearby cities like Osaka and the regular Shinkansen's can quickly get you across the country. The room was compact but had enough space for two people with luggage and bags. All the in-room amenities were in good working order and the air-con would cool the room quickly. Bathroom was also compact but clean and functional, getting hot water was never an issue. Never had any issues with noise and the elevator requires your room key, so the building is very secure. The staff were beyond excellent! They were especially helpful with sorting our luggage transfer and saving us money on our travel arrangements to Osaka Itami Airport. When we return to Kyoto, we will be choosing APA Hotel Kyoto Ekikita.

Disliked:It would have been ideal if the bed had space underneath it for luggage. Beyond that incredibly minor issue, we have zero complaints.
