Liked:Had breakfast at the cafe opposite the hotel as recommended and it was great!

Disliked:Unfortunately there was a party in the hotel bar. Rather loud music went on quite late.

Unhelpful staff. Dirty rooms with the last occupants old food left on the desk. Good location though

Liked:The location was very good in terms of proximity to the station, and a short walk into the middle of Surbiton. Oh, and the shower was hot and powerful. That was about it in terms of the positives.

Disliked:I had highlighted that I had an event at 3pm - they told me check in was at 3pm but they would do what they could to check me in earlier, and if not, they've give me a place to get changed and leave my bags. When I buzzed the door at 2pm. I was told "no check-in before 3. No, we don't have anywhere for you to get changed. Come back at 3" I had to make other arrangements to get ready for my event. When I did get into my room, I was greeted with a half eaten cheese sandwich on the desk and an open, half drank bottle of water on the bedside table. When I grabbed a cleaned to tell them, she just shrugged and took the items from me. No explanation. The bath was grubby and needed a really good clean. The bed was not comfy. The pillows smelled like they needed a good wash. Generally, a really poor experience. I have stayed here before and never had a problem. But it seems like the quality has fallen off a cliff since last year.
