Fantastic staff, hospitality, location, view!

Liked:We’re Dutch trekkers. Everything about this hotel gets 5 stars! Location, room, restaurant/bar with a view, airport shutte, etc. But what stands out the most is the fantastic staff! Always helpful, kind, flexible, GREAT service. We decided to come back next week after our trek!

Liked:I like only design of hotel and rooms . That’s all .

Disliked:The room was not properly prepared upon arrival, with plumbing issues and non-functioning ventilation that were never fixed despite repeated requests. Poor ventilation caused significant mold on the bathroom blinds, and the room and bathroom were not cleaned properly. The mattress was excessively soft, and the staff were initially rude. Breakfast was very poor, with little variety. I also ordered lunch and dinner several times, but the food was consistently disappointing: the fish and chips were excessively greasy, and the chicken biryani was merely fried rice with chicken. To make matters worse, a male receptionist working the day shift openly picked his nose behind the reception desk and then handled papers, pens, and other items without washing his hands. This was extremely unhygienic and unacceptable. Overall, the cleanliness, food quality, maintenance, and service fell far below expectations. Furthermore, my Booking.com reservation stated that airport transfers were included. Due to a delayed domestic flight from Pokhara, I contacted the hotel in advance. The staff agreed that if I took a taxi to the hotel at my own expense, they would arrange a complimentary transfer back to Kathmandu Airport at checkout. However, when I asked about this service at approximately 7:30 PM, I was told it was no longer available, and I had to pay for another taxi myself. This was extremely disappointing, as the hotel failed to honour the arrangement made with me in advance.

Liked:Everything about our stay was outstanding. The staff consistently made sure everything with our stay was great. The hotel is very comfortable and has a great feel about it. We are currently on a 16 country trip around the world - and this is one of our favorite places so far.
