Beautiful , newly renovated hotel in the center of Thamel

Liked:Comfort , location, staff, food, room, sauna

Disliked:The swimming pool was closed for maintenance the first day. When I checked it n. It was opened the next day , however the water was greenish. I enjoyed hotel any way. The sun roof and sauna compensated for it.

Lovely stay in Thamel – great pool and views!

Liked:A good hotel located in a small side street in the Thamel area. It was built recently, so everything is quite new and fresh. The staff was very nice and helpful, and they even allowed us to check in earlier than the official time. At first, we had to convince them that we had booked a room with a balcony, so it was great that we had our printed confirmation from Booking.com with us. The room was a bit small compared to others, but we liked it, and the bed was very comfortable. Since the hotel is in a side street, it is quieter at night, but there are bars nearby that operate until early morning, so it is best to ask for a room that faces away from the noise. The hotel features a beautiful rooftop terrace and a great swimming pool where you can watch the sunset and see the Swayambhunath Stupa in the distance. The breakfast was good, though I personally missed having breakfast porridge.

Disliked:The most confusing part for me was the bathroom. Since there is no shower curtain, water floods the entire bathroom floor every time you take a shower. The toilet paper holder is placed right next to the shower, so it gets wet immediately. Furthermore, there is nothing provided to wipe or dry the floor after showering. Adding a shower curtain would be such a small and easy investment for the hotel. There is also a lack of a larger shelf near the sink to place toiletries. On our first evening, there was no hot water, but a staff member came and fixed it. However, the hotel should really resolve the issue of having to let the water run for a long time before it gets warm, as it is a huge waste of water. The water in the poolside shower was warm right away.

Liked:Everything. The staff are friendly, room was great, pool area had great views. Everything you'd want for a short stay. They also have their own driver which we only discovered on the final day, but he's great too and deserves a special mention.
