Liked:Thompson is always a good option - the price is always a little less than it's competitors yet it's always equally as clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff are always incredibly friendly. I have stayed at the Thompson many times as I live in a neighbouring city and while I prefer the Coast or even Holiday Inn their prices have nearly doubled and while the pillows aren't quite as good in every other way the Thompson is a very reasonable alternative.

Disliked:It is located in the older downtown area which can feel a little more sketchy later in the evening if you are bothered by that sort of thing but the hotel itself is very safe and secure. The parking is also unsecured and open - I'm unsure if it's monitored by security, it may be. Pretty much every hotel in Kamloops has open parking lot style parking; including one of the Coast hotels which is also located in the downtown area on the opposite side of town.

Nice hotel at good location

Liked:Hotel at good and quite central location, nice and clean rooms, staff was friendly, kids liked the swimming pool, breakfast at hotel was good, we had two rooms next to each other with a door in between, which is convenient for a family

Disliked:Breakfast could have had some more options
