Overall I had a good stay here but with some small changes it could have been better.

Liked:Convenient access to north shore beaches. Room was small but clean, dry, no insects, perfect climate control. All the staff were friendly and helpful. It was nice to have laundry on site. Don't expect the Ritz Carlton if you book this place. I didn't spend much time at the hotel but for my purposes it was totally adequate.

Disliked:The view could have been better. I booked an ocean view, but really this one had a view of the courtyard and only had a sliver of ocean view (see photo). I had a better view of the industrial AC unit placed outside my window. The room directly above me probably had a better view. The second floor rooms also had balconies but the first floor rooms had no balcony or direct access to the courtyard, which would have been nice. Instead to access the courtyard you had to leave the room, walk down the hall, and use an exit-only door which did not let you back in even though there is a card reader, so you have to walk all the way around through the lobby to get back to the room. I don't understand why they restricted access like this. Also, as you can see from the picture the window was not clean at all, or maybe has some moisture damage but either way it was not the case for all the rooms so I feel like they could do something about this. If it can't be improved with cleaning it would be worth replacing the glass.
