GREAT STAY!

Liked:Stayed here for 1 night for business. It is located literally right next to Maui airport, less than a 3 minute drive away. I had an excellent stay here and would be happy to stay again next time I visit. Pros: Location – right next to airport. There are other restaurants, grocery stores, etc. within the vicinity but you’ll need to drive. Friendly staff – even the cleaning staff greets you in the morning. Front desk staff was quick and efficient. Spacious, clean gym. Smith machine and pullup bar, heavy dumbbells (over 70#), Kettle bells, etc. Clean room and comfortable bed Free upgrade - my room was upgraded due to status (Gold) which was a nice touch. Cons: No free breakfast but they do have a small restaurant on-site offering breakfast, lunch, dinner, alcohol, coffee, snacks, etc. You can hear some planes so bring earplugs. You may also hear roosters in the early morning, but that is part of the experience. Embrace the island life.

Negative unfriendly service mistreat local customer

Liked:Hawaii resident local on Maui for over 10 years frequently visit and stayed long-term at Courtyard Maui Kahului Airport by Marriott in the past. Loyal, regular customer and Bonvoy member. Dine regularly at the Bistro cafe, received check tonight during Happy Hour without Kama'iaina (20%). Server declined and said they don't do that despite explaining received a week ago. Server offered for me to speak to a manager. Kalani Paul Hiilei approached me and asked, "Is there a problem? I had only a comment about the server refusing Kama'aina (20%) during Happy Hour and Kalani responded that we don't do that, despite me explaining my past experience. Kalani said, "If you don't like it here, you don't have to come here". Kalani told me, "I've been the Assistant General Manager here for 13 years and I've never seen you here before." I was overcharged for Happy Hour items that server fixed after pointing out and only received Discount Total -$1.60 for side soup $8.00. Needless to say I did not leave a tip. Kalani was very rude, argumentative and disrespectful. Kalani clearly lacks professionalism and needs to learn how to appreciate and treat local customers and deal with anger management issues. I was mistreated and received negative, unfriendly service. I'm making a formal complaint with Marriott Corporate.

great stay close to the airport, perfect place to spend a lay over.

Liked:Room was perfect for a one night lay over on our travel to Kaui. We were greeted with a smile even with a late night check in. The counter service food available in the restraunt was very good for a quick breakfast before we ran off to the airport to continue our travel.
