Had a great stay, exceeded expectations…

Liked:Room was clean, spacious, bed comfortable. We had lost power at our home, and we needed AC. Once we checked into our room and got settled, we turned on the TV, but it didn’t work. Called the front desk. They were unable to fix it, but the front desk person came up to our room, with new keys to another, and she had checked to make sure the TV was working. We didn’t have much with us, so we grabbed our bag and moved across the hall. They handled it very well.

Disliked:The next morning at breakfast, 3 youngish girls, 13-17ish, took every ToGo bag and took bags of food out of the dining area. Like the whole bowl of fruit, yougurts, milks, like cleaned out the breakfast area. I was shocked. What is wrong with people…

Disliked:Ugh disappointed.. I’ve never had an issue with Holiday Inns. Our room was not wiped down. Drinks stains and crumbs all over the counters. Pulling down the comforter as I always do, a live small red bug was on the side of the sheet. We debated about going to a different hotel. Husband opted for switching rooms. No problem switching rooms. The second room was much better and sheets appeared to be clean. Other than the hole in the comforter. At 1:00 in the morning, front desk called and asked for our last name. He said he heard talking coming from the room but he thought the room was vacant..it was a room at the end of the hallway in front of the stairway door and closets. There was only one other room on the left side to us. This was odd being you have to assign the key cards to my name. I felt if it was not an emergency or noise complaint this could have waited until morning as my family was trying to sleep. Or at least when calling apologize for the late call and explain why you are calling and not me having to go down to the front desk to find out why. Beds and pillows are not comfortable. When I read reviews, they said they were.. but I must have been reading a different Holiday Inn. Shower handle wouldn’t pull out it was stuck. At least it was only one night & I wasn’t going to ask for a 3rd room. I was going to ask for the manager when checking out, but I was ready to leave. Breakfast was decent for a hotel breakfast. The woman that checked out was the same that checked us in. She was nice when we checked in the day before in the afternoon but checking out…. She is not a morning person. Not even a good morning, how was your stay or have a good day. I hardly leave reviews. But I have to say, this was definitely on the bottom of my hotel stays. Will not stay here again.
