Liked:I really liked to stay here. The onsen was great with a very traditional vibe. I had the chance to experience it without anyone else, and it felt so relaxing. Position extremely convenient, just in front of Hakone-Yumoto station. Very good price for the services.

Disliked:As suggested by many comments, the stairs are indeed very steep, and it takes a significant effort to climb them with heavy luggage like mine. However, the owner helped me to bring it to my room and he was very nice.

Great stay! Amazing value! Very friendly host.

Liked:Proximity to train station and that it was very clean!

Disliked:I can see that for some guest, the train station might be too close due to noise. Also, cash only

Good budget stay

Liked:Very close to the Hakone yumoto station - literally opposite. The public onsen and footbath were great, very hot.

Disliked:But there are a lot of steep stairs to climb to access the accommodation which is on the hill. So with luggage and no prior warning, this was not fun. The natural spring hot water to the showers were basically cold, so cold showers were had which in autumn was not enjoyable. However, it could be that we were not told how to access the hot water properly?
