80 percent perfect but when the hotel failed, it failed spectacularly.

Liked:The setting was the perfect environment for a European tour. Lake Garda was fabulous.

Disliked:My last night I had a very bad experience on the terrace with the servers in all. I was ignored and it took me an hour and fourty minutes to get a salad and butter to go with the bread the brought. They servered everyone around me but never even looked in my direction. Finally after an hour and fourty minutes I got fed up because I could not get anyone to bring me a bill. I was the first guest to arrive at 5:15pm. The only female server walked right past me to welcome a couple that followed me in. The maitre’d never checked on me. I left at 6:40pm. As I left the terrace I saw the maitr’d visit my table for the first time to clear the dishes. Previous to this evening, I was determined to visit again but after this experience, I do not think I will.

An exceptional, elegant and timeless stay in one of the most special corners of Lake Garda.

Liked:Everything. Grand Hotel Fasano has a very special kind of elegance, one that never needs to be overstated. Its setting on Lake Garda is exceptional, and the gardens, architecture and views create a wonderfully serene atmosphere. The service was impeccable throughout our stay. It is a hotel with history, character and a true sense of identity.

Disliked:Nothing to mention. The experience was impeccable from beginning to end, and every detail was entirely in keeping with a hotel of this calibre. A little upgrade on the night restaurant will be great, because all people are very kind but I want to see a better food, like the lunch?, breakfast or lunch

Disliked:What I didn’t like was the arrogant attitude of some staff members and the lack of attention to detail. The property also feels dated and could be better maintained.
