Overall a great place to stay.

Liked:We have family in Florence and visit every year. We stay in many motels and the River Inn was the best so far. Our room was a good size for the two of us. Breakfast was delicious. There were fresh made to order pancakes, fried eggs, sausage, muffins, toast, dry cereal, orange and apple juice, milk, hot tea, coffee, and various fresh fruit. Plenty of free parking.

Disliked:Our view was of the parking lot, not the river. Our room was completely updated with new flooring, new paint, and the bathroom was redone. They chose to install a tub surround rather than tile. There were no grab rails in the shower for us older folks. The bathroom door would not latch. The floor in our unit was dirty and needed to be mopped. I got in the shower after walking around on the floor and I could se the dirt just running off the bottom of my feet. Also, no a/c and it was very hot when we arrived, over 90 degrees.

in the heart of old town Florence with lovely grounds

Liked:nice breakfast lovely woman working the breakfast room, rebecca, beautiful grounds, view of the river and the lovely 1936 bridge, little beach, amazing landscaping with flowers everywhere, fountains and birds. Also right at the end of the cute little old town with great little river parks, wonderful restaurants and shops.
