Brilliant experience at the hotel

Liked:Very please. Very clan. Amazing staff and their service. Excellent food with brilliant offers. One of my best hotel experiences.

Great location…needs a little improving on service.

Liked:The property is in a great location with excellent parking and the rooms were a good size. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Food was good. Hotel was clean and tidy.

Disliked:Service was very slow ..probably due to staff shortages. The option to not have house keeping but have a free drink was not as advertised as you had a voucher for £7.50 that did not cover the price of any alcoholic drink on the menu. To be fair, when those was pointed out to the staff when checking out, it was recognised as unfair and was rectified. Pre authorisation for drinks and food was not explained or done and as a result, each time we ordered we had to go through a reauthorisatuon for that order which didn’t seem to carry forward. Surprisingly there was no hand or body lotion in the rooms which I would expect of a hotel of this standard.

Liked:The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was excellent with easy access to Edinburgh either walking or getting a tram.

Disliked:While the Junior suite was nice it was on the 4th floor. The walk in shower and bath were very nice but would have preferred windows that actually opened in the room.

Disliked:The only thing I’d change would be to add Lorne sausage and tattie scone to the full breakfast option. Or is the capital of Scotland after all. Some cliches actually do work.

When booking 6 rooms or more, different policies and additional supplements will apply. The property will contact the guest following their reservation. Parking location is EH6 7BY. Please note extra beds and cots must be confirmed with the hotel prior to arrival, customers will be required to settle children's extra bed charges (£30 per night) directly with the hotel. The Breakfast inclusive rates include a Full-cooked breakfast and Dinner inclusive rates includes 2 courses from our seasonal menu. Supplements apply to certain items. Inclusions only apply for adults. Children’s Breakfast is not included in the advertised rates and the charges are as follows directly to the hotel: 0-4 years old – Breakfast Complimentary/5- 11 years old – Breakfast charged at 50% full price/ 12 and over breakfast charged at full adult price. Kids Dinner Menu also available. When traveling with a dog, please note that an extra charge of £25 for 1 dog or £40 for maximum 2 dogs, per night applies. Dogs are allowed in designated guest rooms-please notify the hotel in advance. A deposit may be required at the property.
