Liked:Basic but fresh and plentiful. Cereal could include a healthier less processed cereal

Pleasant hotel right in the middle of the Royal Mile

Liked:Brilliant location, lovely reception and cleaning staff, easy to check in and out, staff dealt with an issue with our hot water very quickly.

Disliked:Had to have a cold shower on the first morning because there was no hot water, although to be fair this did get fixed very quickly after we raised the issue at reception. The beds have a mattress topper on top of mattress, and they kept sliding around during the night, nearly fell out of bed. There were comfortable but should be fixed onto the mattress somehow, maybe with elastic.
