Relaxing stay in Edinburgh

Liked:The perfect location for exploring the city, yet you have a heavenly sense of peace to relax, far enough away from the streets crowded with tourists. About a 25-minute walk or a few minutes by bus to the city center. There’s plenty of greenery nearby, with trails perfect for walks at any time of day (we recommend hiking up Arthur’s Seat and exploring the surrounding area for breathtaking views of the Scottish countryside). The staff were more than friendly; we felt truly welcome there, just like at home. They’re also happy to offer advice on anything and do their best to accommodate all requests. Breakfast was always delicious, plentiful, and served quickly. The room amenities matched the photos and were fully functional; everything was clean.

Disliked:I probably can't find anything to complain about; they even accommodated my request for an early check-in without charging any fees. If I really had to mention a downside, it would probably be the sink, which has separate faucets for cold and hot water—which is very impractical these days—but I understand that it’s part of the historical style of the entire property.

Great hosts- terrific breakfast and easy commute to sights.

Liked:Great hosts who made us feel like family. Did our laundry for a reasonable price and gave us clear informative ideas on how to travel downtown. We love to walk and walked to the royal mile and back several times, but bus service is easy from the hotel too. Highly recommended.
