Worst experience ever!

Liked:The building is beauriful on the outside and location was perfect for us. One receptioist was friendly and very helpful.

Disliked:The hotel is in a rundown state and in need of total refurbishment. The self service breakfast was atrocious with very poor quality food. Unset sticky tables with old chairs - peeling leather and staff were indifferent.The price was outragious - €980 for three nights! We heard many complaints from other visitors.

Liked:The hotel was in a fantastic location with beautiful views. Everything was clean and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and polite, and the food was delicious. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Wouldn’t not recommend this hotel.

Liked:Location near bus stop that goes into centre of Edinburgh

Disliked:Don’t know where to start. Rooms were not clean. Detritus on the roofs and in park of the car park when you looked out the window. Restaurant closed at 6pm which was not mentioned at time of booking. Fire alarm was meant to have gone off but none of our party heard any siren which was concerning. Paid over £1000 for three room for one night. Complained to hotel, told to complain through booking.com. Whilst complaint was acknowledged no refund even partially was forthcoming.

Liked:Hotel and rooms all clean. Breakfast is fab. Ideal location for a trip to visit Edinburgh which is just 10-15minutes away via bus
