Disliked:Condition of hotel...although a refurb is supposed to have been started.

Great stay.

Liked:The hotel building has a lot of character and is conveniently located, with easy access to public transportation into the city.

Disliked:It was my birthday, and I mentioned this in my booking request. Unfortunately, the hotel didn’t acknowledge it or make any special gesture, which was a little disappointing.

Liked:Comfy beds and friendly staff and well located on bus route 11 to get into the city. The hotel is located in a quiet part of the city.

Disliked:The rooms was ok but a bit tired looking with a few issues (dripping shower, poor TV reception ). The room was also very warm. Hotels are very expensive in Edinburgh for what you get.
