Liked:Convenient bus service

Disliked:Mattress could be firmer. Heating would not turn off so too hot.

Perfect for our wee trip back home

Liked:Great little find. Comfy bed, clean bathrooms, nice period features

Disliked:The heating was on in our room and couldn't be turned off. Pretty warm even with the window wide open.

Basic hostel, but with adequate facilities & standards of cleanliness.

Liked:Quiet street. Electric shower, so plentiful hot water. Good self-catering kitchens.

Disliked:I understood that the receptionist would need to see photo ID at check-in, and record some of the details. However, it was unacceptable for the receptionist to photograph my ID document, particularly with what appeared to be a personal smartphone. That sort of action probably contravenes GDPR regulations. I know it’s done frequently, but I will be challenging the action in future, at all hotels, hostels etc.

Liked:Not a far walk from the city or several bus stops. Cheap local diner is just down the road. Plenty of space.

Disliked:The placed seemed to be moreso wiped cleaned rather than actually dusted or mopped. The floors where incredibly creaky. Spiral stairs where difficult to carry a suitcase up and down on. Isn't labled but you will need to bring your own lock for the lockers, one is not provided.
