expensive and minimal

Liked:The beds were comfortable and there was an iron and ironing board. The room was very clean. The owners were quick to resolve any problems (e.g. a key which got bet, and was replaced)

Disliked:There was no breakfast, which I was expecting. The service was impersonal - rather like an AirB&B (e.g. key in a box, and a person on call, rather than in person welcome). There was no extractor fan in the bathroom, neither was there a fridge to keep food and beverafges if we brought in our own breakfast.

Comfortable and convenient base for exploring Edinburgh

Liked:Check in was easy, using an unattended lockbox open all hours. The room was spacious, clean and well lit with an en suite bathroom. The location was convenient, 2 miles from Edinburgh Waverley Station and within walking distance of a number of restaurants on the south side of the city.

Disliked:When I first used the shower on the afternoon I arrived, it ran cold but it then ran at a good temperature the next morning so suspect that either the hot water tank hadn't been heated or the system struggles with multiple simultaneous shower users. The location although good is not within comfortable walking distance to just pop into the centre of the city - but then the price also reflects that.

Disliked:No fridge in the room or in the building. Uncomfortable pillows and not enough. Very weak WiFi connection. Communication with the owner difficult.
