Wonderful and welcoming!

Liked:Lovely staff, really clean, delicious food and very good value. Location was quite crowded but still very good.

Disliked:It’s a very small thing but maybe a few more gluten free options on the menu. Nothing else really, it was great.

Great stay at the Palace Hotel - highly recommend

Liked:The hotel was beautifully clean, in all areas. We had a large room with 2 separate bedrooms, and 2 separate bathrooms, which was great for us 4 sharing a room together. There was a mini fridge in one of the rooms that was stocked, but was chargeable - although we used the fridge for keeping water and beers cold which was useful. The hotel breakfast was pretty poor. Held on the 5th/top floor with lovely views, and there was breads, fruits, cereals, eggs/bacon/sausages etc. but it just wasn't great. The coffee was also poor. We only went for breakfast once, and didn't bother after that as it wasn't great. The pool area of the hotel is very nice, a large pool that get the sunshine almost all of the day. There's fairly limited number of sunbeds, but plenty of tables and chairs otherwise. The staff were very attentative and the drinks, beers and cocktails were reasonably priced compared to drinking in the nearby bars. The hotel pool is literally a 10 second walk to the beach, where there are FREE private sunbeds and umbrellas, and free towels to use. The beach was always busy, for hundreds of meters in both directions, very vibrant and had sellers of candy floss, roasted sweetcorn cobs, fruits, inflatables and various other memorabilia. The beach felt very safe, and you could walk for >20m metres into the sea before the depth got above waist height. The water was clear, with some fish swimming around, and there were all the various water sports you could possibly want from pedalos, to jetskis, banana boats and all the other kinds (flying fish etc).

Disliked:The breakfast at the hotel wasn't the best, poor quality, and poor availability.

Liked:All the staff were welcoming and quick to help in any way they could. A special thank you to security for their help with parking in tight spots, and to reception for answering all our questions. The breakfast included was amazing, and we loved eating on the roof top terrace overlooking the beach. The location is perfect, being next to the beach and at the north end of the beach which isn't as busy/loud as further south. The pool bar was a great place to relax in the evening, and they had World Cup games playing on a big screen. The beach has nice sand, and the water was very clean. Lots of great restaurants nearby to the hotel.

Disliked:The room was a bit dated, the single beds were small.

Horrible

Liked:The breakfast was quite alright, but for a 5 star i expected better.

Disliked:The staff were incredibly rude and un welcoming, i was genuint shocked after the first conversation with the receiption and the very bad customer service just continued. The rooms themself Are no not the same as the pictures and desperately needs a redo. Also there were stains and marks all over the room. Also the aircondition was really bad. The outside pool were dirty and needs a deep clean. The gym didnt have aircondition, the wifi didnt work there, bad equipment. I literally had to go into the spa that was next door to coldown as it was colder there. The jacuzzi in the spa were also barely working. The food here were Also some of the worst i have dagen during my stay in Albania. Overall this cant be called a 5 star Hotel at all, other than the breakfast i would call this a 3 star Hotel. And is a terrible value for money. The ENTIRE Hotel needs a deep clean and renlvation, for instance all the over the carpet floors there Are tons of stains DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL.
