Fantastic hotel

Liked:Our stay at the Marlin Hotel Dublin was absolutely fantastic! The hotel itself is modern, clean, stylish, and perfectly located in the heart of Dublin. The rooms were comfortable and well-equipped, making our stay very enjoyable. What truly made the experience exceptional was the amazing staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. Their hospitality really made us feel at home. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dublin. A perfect combination of comfort, great service, and excellent location. We will definitely come back!

A few changes could lead to a much better hotel

Liked:Food was good but one coffee machine was broken and this led to long lines for coffee.
Disliked:Lack of staff at hotel at 6:00 am and only staff person present was not helpful. No staff for check-in and only check-in via a kiosk or computer is a major problem for some people not familiar with this check-in and also led to long lines

A nice hotel for 1 night stay. Rooms are too small for anything longer.

Liked:The property was very clean and in a good location. Breakfast was also nice.
Disliked:The rooms were extremely small for the price we paid.

Excellent Sleep, Great Location, and a Very Comfortable Stay

Liked:I recently stayed at The Marlin Hotel and overall had a very positive experience. The standout part of the stay for me was the comfort of the room, particularly the bed and pillows. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and I honestly had one of the best nights’ sleep I’ve had in a long time. The pillows were also excellent — good enough that I’d genuinely love to know what brand they use because I would happily buy the same ones for home. The hotel itself feels modern, clean, and well maintained. The rooms are compact, but that’s fairly typical for a city hotel and the space is used efficiently. The location was perfect for what we needed as we were attending a concert at the National Concert Hall, which was only a short walk away. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby and we had a lovely meal within walking distance of the hotel, so it worked really well as a base for an overnight stay in Dublin. Breakfast was another pleasant surprise. We had the continental breakfast included with the room and there was a really good selection available. The coffee was very good, there were nice pastries, and they had a much better range of non-dairy options than you often see in hotels, including oat, almond, and coconut milk options. There were just a few small things that I think could improve the guest experience further. The lighting in the room felt quite bright overall, especially at night. It would be great to have a softer bedside lamp or reading light option so that one person could stay awake reading or relaxing without needing the full room lighting on. Our room was also missing a “Do Not Disturb” sign, which was a minor inconvenience, and there wasn’t a hairdryer available during our stay. One other thing worth noting is parking. We booked through Booking.com because of the Genius discount and the listing mentions parking availability. The parking is actually in a public car park across the road rather than onsite at the hotel itself. This wasn’t an issue for us, but it is an additional cost to factor in. The overnight rate would have been €42, but as hotel guests we received a reduced rate of €30. Overall though, these were relatively minor points in the context of a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The quality of sleep alone would make me consider staying there again.
