Fabulous stay

Liked:The Arlington Hotel Staff was very friendly and kind. The location is great for shopping etc. Great food and deverages.

Expected more.

Liked:Staff were willing to carry our suitcases up the 60 steps to the third floor. They also were helpful in storing our bags and reception is open 24 hours. Shower water pressure was great. Ironing facilities and hair dryer.

Disliked:We were unaware in advance that there would be 60 steps to the third floor and no lift available for “river view” rooms. The river view was ok although the constant flow of buses and coaches that use the road as there main thoroughfare made it very noisey with late night revellers also. Being on the third floor meant the room was quite stuffy and had to have the 2 portable fans going all night. Hand soap dispenser not working and hand basin water pressure poor. Lighting was extremely poor in our room.

Liked:Clean, good service and breakfast had a great variety.

Disliked:Old shower and blankets were too heavy for warm weather. Lighter blankets should be given as extra.

Disliked:The noise from the heating system, the heating wasn’t on but it was really noisy especially during the night. Bathroom very outdated with old taps etc…
