Guest Reviews

What Guests Say

8.7

Excellent

205 reviews

Highlights

+Excellent central location close to Nyhavn, metro, sights, bakeries and restaurants
+Generally very clean and comfortable with stylish decor and comfortable beds
+Convenient check-in (keypad codes) and helpful communication reported
+Extras like Nespresso machine/coffee and large fans appreciated

Could Improve

–No or insufficient air conditioning — apartments can get very hot
–Noise from street/restaurants and occasional loud neighbors/parties
–Some listings falsely imply parking or have only expensive public parking nearby
–Occasional serious cleanliness issues reported (stains, strong perfume smell) and lack of full kitchen/oven in some units

Cleanliness8.7

Generally reported as very clean in multiple reviews, though a few reports mention strong perfume smell, stained linens and areas not properly cleaned in one negative review.

Service9.2

Mostly smooth check-in (keypad codes) and helpful/clear communication mentioned; one review cited poor key handover preparation which lowered consistency but overall service impressions are positive.

Location9.6

Consistently praised as unbeatable/central — close to Nyhavn, metro, theaters, bakeries, restaurants and sights; many reviewers highlight convenience for sightseeing and shopping.

Room Quality7.8

Mixed: comfortable beds and stylish decor reported by several guests, but issues include apartments getting very hot (no AC), some rooms lacking blackout blinds, low ceilings, hard mattresses, noise from street/nearby restaurants and occasional stains.

Amenities8.3

Some appreciated extras (Nespresso machine, coffee, large fans) but there are limitations noted: often no oven/stove (microwave only), no elevator in some buildings, and lack of air conditioning.

Value for Money7.5

Several guests felt the apartment was overpriced for issues encountered (cleanliness problems, noisy nights, limited kitchen); also complaints about advertised parking being only expensive public garages.

Food and Beverage9.2

While the property itself has limited F&B offerings, guests repeatedly praised excellent nearby bakeries, pastry shops and restaurants making the location strong for food experiences.

Overall Experience9.3

Overall stays are described as great due to central location, cleanliness and comfort for many guests, though a minority experienced serious cleanliness or noise problems that affected their stay.

One of our top three vacations ever! See Copenhagen staying at Daniel and Jacob’s!!!

Liked:Excellent location, apartment fully equipped for all our needs

Disliked:No lift. Luckily the apartment was on the first floor

Good choice for a short stay.

Liked:Location is perfect. The apartment is spacious and charming. One bathroom is a challenge if you indeed have 7 people there (we were 3 people for one night so it was ok).

Disliked:You can hear everything from the apartment above, every step and noise (old building, wooden beams). Their walking around kept us up. Kitchen is not very practical if you reall wanted to cook.
