Another disappointing stay.

Liked:The location. The individual architecture

Disliked:I was told there was a destination fee. Of 60 or so. For wifi, gym (not used) breakfast (such as it was). It was almost $100 cheaper to make a reservation through Booking.com rather than the hotel. The elevator was broken - again. The breakfast was stale sweet rolls, no fruit, yoghurt and boxed cereal. the coffee required a hunt. It was not with the offerings. The dining/bar closes at 9. The door was not locked at night.

Liked:The hotel is in a great location and was very clean and quiet. The room was spacious and bright, which made for a comfortable stay. The gym was quite small, but still adequate for a good workout. The only issue I had was figuring out how to turn the heat on during a cold night (around 40 degrees). I eventually managed it, but it would have been helpful if instructions had been provided in the room. The beds were ok but there were no extra blankets in the room.

Disliked:My daughter and I recently stayed at this hotel, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. Upon check-in, the front desk associate was polite, but she never mentioned the complimentary cookies offered to arriving guests. We only realized this after noticing other guests receiving them, which felt a bit odd and unwelcoming. While the bed itself was comfortable, the pillows were another story. They seemed old and worn out, and they left both my neck and back sore by the morning. The hotel would definitely benefit from replacing them. The biggest issue, however, was with the restaurant, "Granite Rest and Bar." We were told by the front desk that dinner service was available from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. We arrived at 8:10 PM, only to be turned away by a very rude waitress who informed us they were closed because the chef decided to shut down early on a Thursday night. Meanwhile, there were still people seated at the bar being served food and drinks. It was incredibly frustrating and inconvenient, especially since we then had to leave the hotel to find somewhere else to eat. The elevators do not work, so be mindful of that! Overall, the lack of communication and poor customer service left a negative impression, and unfortunately, I don’t think we’ll be staying here again.
