Disliked:I didn’t dislike it. I’ve just stayed in better hotels for the same price. The bathroom being directly next to the bed and the closet in the bathroom was a turn off.

Best part of decor is in the lobby, rooms are so-so

Liked:We like quirky, unusual properties so the pictures drew us in. The neighborhood has some empty places and some vagrants in the adjacent blocks, nevertheless we were within walking distance of the downtown and the price for the room was good including breakfast...for the one day it was out on time. The next day it was 1/2 hour late, sheesh. Coffee was on though. Wine or beer on arrival is nice if the front desk person knows the difference between unscrewing a top or pulling a cork, lol, she did not and messed up two bottles. She said she didn't drink wine. Everyone was nice. The parking across the street was unclear in the hotel's instructions so my tip is to pull up front to unload and register and get concrete instructions about where to park. The chicken n biscuits for breakfast keep me from saying I'd stay elsewhere next time.

Overall, I absolutely plan to return and stay again!

Liked:The room was nicely appointed, the hotel was quiet and the bed was heavenly! The staff was very friendly and helpful!

Disliked:While the coffee was great, the continental breakfast was not; the frozen pastries tasted defrosted and stale, and day after day of chicken and biscuits, while it may be a southern delight, it was not what I was looking for in breakfast.
