Potential but falls short

Liked:When I stayed in this hotel, I guess they had an issue with housekeeping and in the five nights that I stayed there nobody cleaned my room once. I did ask for clean towels and a water kettle that worked and fresh coffee, and the front desk staff assured me that they would bring it, but for various reasons that didn’t happen. They genuinely seemed under staffed. I noticed they cleaned the trash cans in my room but never gave me new towels. Weird. I will say, though that the front desk staff was incredibly kind and nice and accommodating. The food was ok - not amazing. The hotel is in a good area, but there are many many unhoused people all around the hotel and even who sit on the hotel property. I think I would’ve just appreciated a bit more communication about the housekeeping issue and attention to getting fresh items. The room is loud. The ac is loud, the fridge is loud and if you stay on the 4th floor - the HVAC unit is INSANELY loud. I did pay over $250 a night and I just felt like it was kind of more of a glorified Hampton Inn rather than an amazing boutique hotel. I personally probably wouldn’t stay again. Shout out to Kimberly at the front who was so nice!
