Cheapest option in an expensive area, temper expectations

Liked:Okay for one night. Some decent places to eat and grab coffee nearby. The town is really nice and in our view some of the views are nicer than Banff. Nice atmosphere outside the hotel in the courtyard area, with a lot of people drinking and enjoying the nice weather.

Disliked:Most expensive, yet smallest and most uncomfortable stay during our 3 weeks in Canada. Some random bike shop next to the room blocked our car in with all their bikes, the bed was small, air con was super loud, but when turned off the room was hot so had to put up with it. Still, this was one of the most affordable places in the area when you compare it to everything else. Prices are just crazy here! We enjoyed the BC side of the Rockies a lot more where it’s less touristy and you can find affordable and much larger accommodation. If you must stay in this area and can handle glamping I’d recommend heading over to Kananaskis valley and staying there… it’s really not that far to drive
