Liked:Was apprehensive after reading reviews about staying in the annex but all I can say is I am really not sure what people expect.. we had a really lovely experience the room was perfect as where the facilities. and amazing view from the balcony from our room friendly staff couldn’t ask for anything better would definitely stay there again.

I will not be back, stay anywhere else

Liked:The bed was very comfy and location was handy for bus to banff.

Disliked:Where to start: 1. Noise from generators outside window 24/7, we were left a little note on the bed and some ear plugs. The earplugs do no make up for that noise! 2. No room cleaning provided, this was not noted anywhere on the booking. We were traveling with a baby and using the room bin for dirty nappies so needed bins changed daily. When we asked reception for this service as a minimum they said no sorry we don't do that. They said we had to empty our own bins and could provide bin bags if we wanted. This is not the service I expect at a hotel, we were not in a self catering apartment, it is a hotel! The receptionist even agreed that when they stay at hotels the bin in the room is emptied by hotel staff. 3. We requested new towels half way through the stay, which they said yes to, so, we left all the towels in a pile by the door in the morning - making it easy for them to change given they don't clean rooms. When we returned that evening the pile was still there and no new towels. I rang reception and they said to come over, but then they couldn't get me any towels as the cleaner was on their break and they were the only person with a key to where the clean towels were kept - seems hard to believe. But I was then promised new towels would be delivered as soon as cleaner came back from their break. No towels arrived. I needed to bath my baby before bed, I rang reception several times and they didn't answer phone so ended up using a dirty towel from the floor. Not acceptable. 4. As others have noted we booked this hotel specifically due to having a pool, but then terms changed and we had no access, this was not communicated before arrival 5. Decor and finishings were very tired. The mirror in our bathroom was cracked and chipped. There were damp marks on the ceiling, the wallpaper was peeling off, these are more than just some wear and tear. 6.
