Thoroughly enjoyable stay

Liked:The location is stand out. Camp de Mar is a small resort but very well serviced with shops and restaurants. The hotel couldn’t be in a better place. Literally right on the beach. It was spotless and all the staff we encountered were friendly and efficient. Our room was very nice, especially the bathroom with the shower being exceptional. We found the beds a little hard, but that’s personnel preference I guess. There’s a fridge in the room and tea/coffee making facilities. Air con was super efficient. Breakfast was as very good, with so much choice! Everything we had was tasty and well prepared.

Disliked:My only small issue was how busy the pool area was. It was impossible to get a sun bed unless you were there the minute it opened at 8am. However, we did find space on the beach which we prefer, although you do have to pay for the sunbeds down there as they don’t belong to the hotel.

Great hotel, friendly staff, excellent food, and a perfect location

Liked:Lovely hotel in a beautiful location. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were spotless, and the food was excellent with plenty of choice. The pool area was great for relaxing, and the beach is just a short walk away. We had a fantastic stay and would happily return. Highly recommended!

Awful sleep in the single room and zero customer service

Liked:Location is great. Hotel was very clean. Shower was very good.

Disliked:DO NOT book a single room at this hotel. My room was directly next to the lift, which was running until well past 1am and started again around 5:30am, resulting in two nights of terrible sleep. When I complained, I was told dismissively that all single rooms are next to the lift. This was not made clear when booking, and had I known, I would never have chosen this hotel. The receptionist seemed annoyed that I raised the issue and offered no solution whatsoever, not even the option of moving rooms. I later complained again in the hotel's guest survey and never received a response. The room was also tiny, and the balcony was unusable due to fumes coming from the Indian restaurant below. The sunbed situation was frustrating, with most seemingly reserved from as early as 6am. I had half board, and both breakfast and dinner felt rushed at times. Food quality was very mixed and defo better at dinner than at breakfast. As someone who is gluten-free, I also found the allergen labelling confusing and concerning: some dishes displayed a warning for wheat or cereals containing gluten while simultaneously being labelled “gluten-free”. This made me reluctant to trust what was actually safe to eat. Overall, the biggest disappointment was the complete lack of care when legitimate concerns were raised.
