Solid 8/10. Beautiful hotel, lovely staff and peaceful environment

Liked:We had a wonderful stay in the Presidential Suite on All Inclusive for 5 nights, the experience was very relaxing and calm. We had a very beautiful, clean and neat room as well as the hotel in general. The room was cleaned well by Hema every day and also provided a turndown service. The staff and service at restaurants, beach bars, and all areas (including check-in and check-out) were very friendly and efficient. The beach/lagoon and pool area was fantastic and great temperatures for swimming (Lagoon 24C and Pool up to 29C). Lots of sun beds, towels and umbrellas, etc., very neat and tidy. Breakfast and Lunch were great and the drinks at the beach bar and restaurants were good on the AI Package. Airport transfers were arranged through the hotel and this service was efficient.

Disliked:The All Inclusive menu options at Lunch, Dinner and Drinks could have been clearer, we had to figure it out for the first day or two and had to ask for explanations. I would suggest having only one menu for every restaurant with a * symbol next to items which are All Inclusive, it would make it easier. Every other AI hotel I have been to does this, it should be crystal clear and require no explanation. The Dinner was a little bit disappointing, the food was very “complicated” and lacking big flavour, I would suggest simpler food which packs more flavour. The menu was a bit more of a fine dining concept which at the beach is not something we would prefer. Simple flavorful food is better than average complicated food. We would have expected more fresh seafood options considering the location. Since the hotel offers two restaurant options for dinner we would suggest having the more fine dining experience limited to one of the restaurants, with the other providing more “crowd pleaser” meals. The gym is neat and tidy, we used it every day, it’s a little bit dated, but not bad for a small hotel. It’s usable, I would suggest they invest more in this area.

A high recommend!

Liked:Kind, attentive staff! Super eco-ethos such as sealed glass water bottles We were able to maximize activities (i.e. perfect timing for the heated infinity pool on a blustery day) on our short stay by remaining on the premises for a couple hours after checkout.

Disliked:The design was beautiful, but when the AC was off, the room had a bit of a musty smell, like the humidity was absorbing into the organic decor (such as thatch on the wall).
